April showers, bring May flowers. Hmmm. What happened this year ? Well, I think we can finally say winter is over. I have an appointment to take my car in to remove the snow tires and have made a few trips to the garden centre to think about what it is I am going to plant. I am hoping to come up with a great herb garden this summer. So, I know a little bit about gardening, and most of it is through my numerous trips to the garden centre and also from meeting with a local landscaper who helped me with my layout and really taught me what will grow in certain spots and what wont grow. Im sure you are thinking well what does that have to do with real estate. My answer, nothing, but seriously the message I am trying to convey to you all is that, I am not a professional gardener, and although I kept searching google and reading all kinds of articles, I was growing more and more confused and finally hired a professional to give me the much needed advice I was looking for. I have spent so much money on plants that have died that I finally decided to hire an expert. The same applies to real estate. The headlines in just this months papers was insane. Check out these headlines.
1. Sales in the GTA housing market have sagged so far in 2018 but some market watchers are optimistic that spring rebound is coming.
2. Couple ordered to pay $470,000 after reneging on Ontario home deal
3. Home sales slump by 40 % in the GTA last month.
There are so mnay headlines, your head will spin with confusion. People are being sued successfully for not closing on houses that they overpaid for. A lot of this could have been avoided if you had of done your research. Understand what the articles are talking about and then sort out if this does or doesnt apply to the area you are selling or buying in.
